Your questions about crypto-to-fiat payments, answered.
No. The recipient never touches crypto. They receive a standard local bank transfer in their own currency, exactly as they would from any other payment. TrustLinq converts your crypto into fiat before the payment ever reaches them, and your wallet stays non-custodial throughout.
No. TrustLinq does not require you to hold a bank account. You fund payments directly from your own crypto wallet, and TrustLinq settles the payment to the recipient’s bank account on your behalf.
No. TrustLinq is non-custodial. When you sign up, you receive a dedicated wallet (smart contract payment vault) uniquely assigned to your account. You transfer funds from your own external wallet into your dedicated vault and they remain there under your control until you initiate a fiat payment. Because your external wallet is linked to the smart contract, you can move funds out of the vault at any time. TrustLinq only deducts what is needed to execute your fiat payment. Your funds are never pooled with other users or held by TrustLinq.
Yes. You fund the payment from your crypto wallet and your landlord receives a standard local bank transfer in their currency. Neither your landlord’s acceptance of crypto nor your own bank account is required.
A crypto exchange lets you sell crypto into your own account. TrustLinq does something different: it lets you fund a direct fiat payment to someone else, such as a landlord, supplier, or contractor, without selling on an exchange first.
TrustLinq supports USDT (on ERC-20 and TRC-20), USDC, EURC, and RLUSD (ERC-20). All four are stablecoins, meaning their value stays pegged to a fiat currency rather than fluctuating like Bitcoin or Ethereum.
TrustLinq supports 190+ countries and 80+ fiat currencies. Payments settle locally wherever possible, avoiding SWIFT delays in supported corridors. You can find the full list here.
Most payments settle within hours of the crypto deposit being confirmed. Settlement speed depends on the destination country’s banking infrastructure. Many corridors complete within the same business day.
Yes. TrustLinq CH AG is a Swiss-regulated financial intermediary, operating in compliance with Swiss anti-money laundering and financial regulations. Every payment is screened for AML compliance before funds are released.
Yes. Businesses fund contractor and supplier payments directly from a crypto wallet, and recipients receive standard local fiat bank transfers in their own currency. No crypto wallet or setup is required on the contractor’s end.
A TrustLinq Crypto Debit Card is currently in development for both personal and corporate users worldwide. The personal crypto card allows individuals to spend their stablecoin balance directly at any merchant. The corporate crypto card gives businesses a direct spending tool linked to their crypto holdings. Both are expected to launch later in 2026. Register at trustlinq.com to be notified when cards become available.
